How it is shot

Exterior, interior, engine room and aerials in one visit.

A buyer scrolling listings compares hulls in seconds. The set opens with the profile and bow from the dock and the air, then works through the cockpit, helm, salon, galley, staterooms and heads at the same wide, corrected perspective used for real estate, so the interior reads true to size.

The engine room, bilge, electrical panel, tankage and hardware are photographed clearly because serious buyers and surveyors look for them first. Documentation, electronics screens and maintenance records are included when you want them in the listing.

Aerials show what the dock cannot: the full hull, the slip, the marina and the water around it. Where authorization is needed to fly, it is handled as part of the job. Files come back web-sized for the listing platforms and full-resolution for brochures and print.

Questions

Which marinas do you cover?
All of San Diego County, including Shelter Island, Harbor Island, the Embarcadero, Coronado, Chula Vista, Mission Bay and Oceanside. Private docks are fine.
Do you shoot the boat underway?
Yes, when a captain and a chase boat or a second vantage point are available. Running shots and on-water aerials are arranged with the shoot and usually run as a full day.
Can you fly a drone over the marina?
Parts of San Diego sit in controlled airspace that can require authorization in advance. Where it does, the authorization is handled as part of the job, and the aerial is planned around the marina and neighboring vessels.
How should the boat be prepared?
Washed and detailed, canvas and cushions on, lines coiled, cabins cleared of personal gear, and the engine room wiped down. A short prep list is sent before the visit.
Are the files ready for the listing sites?
Yes. Web-sized sets for the brokerage platforms are delivered alongside full-resolution files for brochures and print.
Who owns the photos?
You do. Full rights are included for listings, marketing, print and the survey package.
