JPG and WebP compression can remove detail; results depend on the source image. Compare the preview before downloading. Keeping pixel dimensions does not guarantee unchanged visual quality. PNG exports are lossless but may be larger.
WebP is usually the smallest and is supported by every modern browser. JPG is the safest all-round choice for photos, and PNG is best for logos, screenshots and graphics that need transparency.
Choose JPG under 200 KB and leave smaller dimensions disabled. The tool adjusts quality while preserving dimensions. If it cannot meet the limit, it reports that result. Raise the limit or allow resizing; selected preset dimensions always remain exact.
