How listing photography usually gets priced
Most pricing models are built on one of three things. Square footage, because a 4,000 square foot house takes longer to shoot and edit than a condo. Photo count, where you buy a package of 25 or 35 images and pay for more. Or a la carte add-ons, where the base price is low and drone, twilight and video are each their own line.
None of those are wrong. They just mean the number on the quote depends on a conversation about the house, and the agent does not know the total until the shoot is booked.
What drives the price up
Size, because more rooms mean more frames and more editing. Twilight, because it is a separate dusk visit. Drone, because it needs a licensed pilot and, in parts of San Diego, airspace authorization in advance. Virtual staging, because an editor builds furniture into the frame. Rush delivery, because it displaces other work.
The one thing that should not drive the price is the neighborhood. A condo in Hillcrest and a house in Rancho Santa Fe are photographed with the same care.

Standard real estate photography is $325 for one property up to 2,500 sq. ft. Larger properties, additional coverage and travel are quoted separately. Includes shoot planning, photography, standard editing of the agreed final selections and digital delivery. Standard editing covers color, exposure, cropping and basic tonal adjustments—not unlimited images, revisions or advanced retouching. Your quote confirms the finished-image count, editing scope, revision allowance, turnaround and usage. Additional images, detailed retouching, compositing, crew, locations and travel are quoted and approved before extra work. Final pricing depends on project scope and location. Unedited originals are included only when agreed before the shoot. For virtual staging or other material alterations, confirm the original-image and labeling workflow in your quote, then verify publication requirements with your broker or MLS.
Aerial and twilight photography are planned within the agreed coverage or quoted as additional shoot time. Flights depend on location, permissions and safe conditions. Virtual staging, advanced retouching and video are quoted separately.

Offices that shoot several listings a month get one itemized invoice at month end instead of a card charge per shoot. Property managers get the same for unit portfolios. Short-term rental hosts use the same photography rates with the set framed for Airbnb and VRBO instead of the MLS.
